the atp vision
Alamosa became a known gem for distance runners prior to the 1968 Olympics as athletes began to experiment with altitude training.
Since then, distance runners of all levels have chosen the floor of the San Luis Valley and the surrounding mountain ranges as the setting for lung searing workouts as they chased dreams unfathomable to the feeble minds of others.
The Alamosa Track Project began as a vapor floating through the minds of the many runners who've trod in the footsteps of Alamosa's rich athletic history. In 2018 a few of these runners turned that vapor of an idea into a solid reality. Today the team trains on the same trails, tracks, and roads as the many believers that came before them. Tomorrow is in their hands, excellence is in their minds.
